A catch-all functionality that is activated for a particular email mailbox will permit you to receive emails that are sent to email addresses that do not really exist. Otherwise put, if you remove an email address and someone still sends a message to it, or to any mistyped address under the same domain name, you will receive the email in the catch-all mailbox. Using this functionality means that you won’t miss an email for any reason whatsoever, which could be crucial in case you run a business, for instance. Since you may start receiving unsolicited emails, you can combine the catch-all feature with anti-spam filters so as to receive only authentic email messages in your inbox. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Web Hosting
In case you host a domain name on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a web hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a lot of functions, but it’s incredibly intuitive, so configuring a catch-all mailbox takes just a single click. All the email addresses that you’ve created will be displayed in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply have to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the concrete email address. Our system will warn you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox enabled for that domain or if the one that you’d like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or choose some other mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all feature is just as easy and takes one more click on the very same button.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers
The catch-all option can be enabled easily if you’ve got a semi-dedicated server account with our company. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in the account will be displayed in the Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section and you will notice a small logo handily located right next to each of them. With just one single mouse click, you can activate or deactivate the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choosing on the condition that there isn't another mailbox under the same domain name with this option already activated and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Alternatively, you can right-click on a mailbox and enable this feature using the context menu that will pop up. If any of the requirements for creating a catch-all mailbox is not satisfied, our system will notify you, but will not disable or replace anything automatically.
